Dear El Rodeo Elementary School Families,

Welcome to the inaugural year of El Rodeo Elementary School as a dedicated elementary campus! It is my honor and privilege to invite you to join us on this exciting journey as we build a vibrant community where our students can truly soar to success.

Nestled in the heart of Beverly Hills, El Rodeo Elementary School embodies nearly a century of Educational Excellence, community spirit, and historic preservation. Since reopening as a TK-5 school in 2024 following extensive modernization, El Rodeo seamlessly blends its rich history with state-of-the-art facilities, offering a unique environment that honors the past while inspiring future generations.

At El Rodeo, we are proud to continue BHUSD’s mission of Educational Excellence, empowering students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Guided by our Eagle Values—being Respectful, Engaged, and Open-Minded—we strive to nurture a love of learning, foster resilience, and prepare our students to meet the challenges of tomorrow with confidence.

Our dedicated teachers and staff bring unmatched passion and expertise to the classroom, ensuring every child receives the support they need to reach their full potential. Through programs like Makerspace, which introduces design thinking and pre-engineering, and our vibrant music curriculum, beginning in kindergarten, we create a dynamic environment where creativity and curiosity are encouraged.

As a newly dedicated elementary school, we are also excited to shape new traditions while honoring our deep roots. From the historic triple archway featuring the original 1927 plaque, “El Rodeo de Las Aguas,” to the restored Hugo Ballin murals and other preserved treasures, our campus reflects a perfect blend of tradition and modernity.

Community is at the heart of everything we do, and we invite you to actively participate in shaping El Rodeo’s bright future:

El Rodeo remains a true gathering place, from Walk to School Wednesdays at the iconic Beverly Hills Electric Fountain to Beverly Hills Education Foundation’s fundraisers, to district-wide Professional Development days and community events. Together, we are creating a school culture where every child feels valued and inspired.

Thank you for choosing El Rodeo Elementary School. We look forward to partnering with you in building an extraordinary place for children to learn, grow, and excel. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any member of our team with questions or ideas—we are here to support you every step of the way at [email protected].

Warmly,
Sarah Kaber
