El Rodeo Elementary School Administrators: Mrs. Levine, Ms. Kaber and Mr. Painter

Assistant Principal, Mrs. Levine (L), Principal, Mrs. Kaber (C), Assistant Principal, Mr. Painter (R)

Ms. Kaber, Principal, started teaching at Beverly Hills Unified in 2002. She taught 3rd grade at Horace Mann, Kindergarten at Beverly Vista, and 5th grade at Hawthorne before becoming the Hawthorne Principal in 2018 and then the El Rodeo Elementary School Principal in 2024. She has a passion for curriculum and instruction and believes there are many pathways for all students to succeed.  Ms. Kaber finds the most joy in connecting with students and families and looks forward to spending each morning opening doors at carline. She loves tackling a hard math problem or discussing a great novel with students. Even though she misses having classes of her own, watching students grow, mature, and learn over several years is a continued gift.

Mr. Painter, Assistant Principal, has worked in BHUSD since 2000. He was a 5th-grade teacher at Beverly Vista School for 7 years, an Assistant Principal at El Rodeo School for 12 years, an Assistant Principal at Hawthorne Elementary School for five years, and is now an Assistant Principal at El Rodeo Elementary School. The Painter Family has strong ties to BHUSD. Mrs. Painter is a teacher at Horace Mann Elementary School and both of their children are attending/have graduated from BHUSD schools. Throughout his career, Mr. Painter has dedicated his time, energy, and focus to creating long-lasting and strong relationships with students, faculty, and families. He has consistently put students first and believes that the answer to every question and the solution to every problem must revolve around what is best for kids.

Mrs. Levine, Assistant Principal, is excited to bring her passion for education and student success to the El Rodeo community. She began her educational journey in 2000 and joined the BHUSD administrative team in fall of 2024. With extensive experience in both general and special education, as well as her role as a program specialist, she has dedicated her career to fostering inclusive learning environments where every student can thrive. A lifelong learner, Mrs. Levine believes that education is a journey of continual growth—for both students and educators alike. She finds joy in visiting classrooms, engaging with students, and supporting teachers in creating meaningful learning experiences. Committed to collaboration, she values working closely with staff and families to ensure that all students feel supported and empowered to reach their full potential. Guided by the belief that “incremental steps lead to monumental changes,” Mrs. Levine looks forward to making a lasting, positive impact at El Rodeo.
