Our El Rodeo PTA, comprised of an incredible Executive Board of over 25 members, 20 committees, 100% staff participation, and its parent membership of over 350 is so busy.
Nearly every day of every year at school ... PTA:
advocates for kids on local, state and national levels regarding health, safety, and budget issues
raises funds to enrich our school experience and maintain programs, such as K-5 Science Enrichment & K-8 Language Arts (e.g., Writers Conference)
participates on BHEF Board in fundraising, events, curriculum enhancement
works with the City of BH regarding safety and budget issues
produces and circulates Weekly Bulletin to over 600 subscribers
provides a teacher annual supply fund per classroom
coordinates extensive Music Center cultural enrichment program with
principal and teachers, introduces each program
designs and implements comprehensive service learning projects k-8
organizes and promotes ER is GreenER
maintains and beautifies our grounds
organizes, runs, supports competitions (e.g, Spell for Success, Reflections, Science Olympiad, Athlete of the Month Awards)
organizes Parent Get Togethers K-8
maintains additional emergency supplies for each classroom
designs Graduation Year of activities
supports our Middle School Electives
purchases and maintains State of the Art Technology K-8
supports many of our clubs (e.g., Eagles, Lunch Service Projects)
organizes spirit activities for k-8 (e.g., Multicultural Dinner and Contest, BBQ, Open House, Beautification Day, and so much more)
helps to coordinate District Wide Track and Field Day
provides hospitality for staff and school events
designs and sells spirit wear
provides additional support to our faculty (e.g, copiers, projects)
provides scholarships for certain student activities (e.g., outdoor ed)
