Today had Halloween fun!  We worked on Halloween pumpkin adjectives, after reading The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin.  We also had our kick-off assembly for our Character Education program.

Today we had fun continuing our monster descriptive writing.  We also did our first math scoot to practice for our test tomorrow!

 

We are having so much fun with Halloween themed activities!  We are currently working on descriptive monster writing.  We are also practicing our addition and subtraction with multiple step word problems!

 

We worked with a new subtraction strategy today!  We used 10 frames to subtract to 10 and then subtract again.  It was tricky, but we're getting the hang of it.  We're also having fun reviewing adjectives.

 

Today we met in our reading groups and had fun finding evidencec to answer questions.  We practiced our subtraction using related addition facts.  Tomorrow we are excited to present our timeline projects tomorrow!

Today we worked on collective nouns, like flock of birds, herd of cattle, and team of football players.  In math we had fun with our doubles rap and practiced using doubles to help us with subtraction.

Today we had so much fun playing Kahoot to review grammar!  After reading "Smoke Jumpers" we wrote stories as if we had that job.  During math we reviewed all of our addition strategies and are ready for our test tomorrow!
