Dear El Rodeo Family:
Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year! El Rodeo has a great sense of community, diverse student population, an outstanding staff, and wonderful, involved parents.
We urge you to get involved in your child’s education at El Rodeo and be informed. Research has proven that parent involvement has a powerful effect on student achievement!
Get Involved!
Support El Rodeo – give to The Annual Fund at the beginning of this school year – contribute to your child’s academic enrichment and classroom equipment upgrades – El Rodeo’s educational curriculum has been dramatically enhanced by PTA fundraising. We are asking for 100% participation – we need every family.
Volunteer as a room parent for your child’s teacher by contacting your teacher in September.

Get School Spirit!
We pride ourselves in school spirit and hope you attend all of our school events – the first “all school” event will be the El Rodeo Back to School BBQ on the Wilshire playground on Sunday, November 16 – entertainment, food, and fun!
Wear a stylish El Rodeo t-shirt or sweatshirt – available to order Opening Day, September 2nd.
Be Informed!
Attend PTA meetings the first Tuesday of the month at 8:30 am.

Sign up to receive, and read, the weekly “El Rodeo Roundup” – emailed to you each week: AFTER you go to er.bhusd.org, click on the Bulletin, and click on the first page of the Bulletin (upper left hand corner) to subscribe.
Watch Board of Education meetings on KBEV, Çhannel 6 every other Tuesday @ 7 pm or attend at the BHHS Salter Family Theatre.
Look for your child’s “Wednesday packet” of information.
Come to El Rodeo’s New Parents Meeting on September 10, 2008 at 7 pm in the auditorium.
Supplies!
Go to er.bhusd.org to find your child’s individual supplies as well as suggested classroom supplies.
