Emergency Cards must be completed ASAP, printed out and returned to the homeroom teacher by Wednesday, September 15th.
Your child will not be released from school during the day unless the person is listed on these cards (this includes: ALL RELATIVES, HOUSEKEEPER, NANNY, SIBLINGS, GRANDPARENTS, FRIENDS, ETC). Please fill these cards out carefully. Please print 1 copy of this card for each of your children.
If the information on these cards changes in any way (home phone number, cell phone numbers, emergency contacts, etc. during the school year, it is your responsibility to update the information.

Beverly Hills Board of Education Unanimously Agrees to Compromise on Opportunity Permits
On January 12, 2010, the Board of Education determined that opportunity permits will not be granted for the 2010-2011 school year, with the following exceptions for students currently attending the Beverly Hills Unified School District on an opportunity permit in 2009-2010:
students on opportunity permits entering 8th grade for the 2010-11 school year and students on opportunity permits entering 10th, 11th and 12th grade for the 2010-11 school year.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FROM THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION REGARDING PERMITS AND APPEALS
On Friday, August 7, 2009 Board President Nooshin Meshkaty, Board Vice President, Myra Lurie and Superintendent Dr. Jerry Gross conducted a telephone conference call with Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Darline Robles and Project Director (for permit appeals) Mrs. Catherine Terry. The topic of their conference call focused on how the Los Angeles County Board of Education and their staffs managed conducted and ruled on appeals from parents who were seeking inter-district transfers from one County school district to another. What follow is a listing of the questions asked by the Board members and Superintendent and the answers provided by the County officials.
