Beverly Hills BMW/BOOKPALS
Literary Grant

El Rodeo is indeed fortunate to be selected by Beverly Hills BMW and BOOKPALS (a program of the Screen Actors Guild Foundation) to receive a $3,000.00 Literary Grant. The grant will be specifically used to purchase new literary books for the school library.

Beverly Hills BMW is to commended for their contribution to El Rodeo in support of schoolwide literacy. Each book purchased through the grant will be stamped with an acknowledgement recognizing Beverly Hills BMW's commitment to the educational goals of our community.

School/Law Enforcement Partnership
The School/Law Enforcements Partnership, a joint venture of the California Department of Education and the Office of then Attorney general, selected El Rodeo in a competitive grant process as the recipient of a $10,000.00 Conflict Resolution and Youth Mediation Grant. The purpose of the grant is to provide funding for El Rodeo to initiate and implement a comprehensive Conflict Resolution Program. El Rodeo places a high priority on implementing the principles of the Youth Mediation Program.

AB 1339 Grant for Technology
At the end of September, we were awarded the AB 1339 grant from the California Department of Education. This competitive grant was in the amount of $10,580. In order to receive the grant, a group of teachers, administrators, and parents wrote an Action Plan that was approved by the state. The grant money is to help provide staff development, for 4th to 8th grade teachers, in the area of technology.
